Dr. Youfei Guan
Professor Youfei Guan is the Changjiang Professor at Dalian Medical University. After receiving his medical degree from Nantong Medical College (NMC) and Ph.D. degree from Beijing Medical University, he worked as an Assistant Professor in Division of Nephrology and Hypertension at Vanderbilt University. He was then appointed as a Professor in Physiology and the Chair of the Department of Physiology and Pathophysiology at Peking University Health Science Center. Dr. Guan was a recipient of the Outstanding Young Investigator Award from the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) and elected as the Chief Scientist leading the “973” program sponsored by the Ministry of Science and Technology. Dr. Guan has published more than 180 articles in peer-reviewed journals including Nat Med, Nat Commun, J Clin Invest, Diabetes, PNAS, Hepatology, J Am Soc Nephrol, Kidney Int, Am J Physiol-Renal Physiol, and eLife and has contributed more than 50 invited reviews and editorial commentaries. He also serves as the Vice President of Chinese Association of Physiological Sciences (CAPS), Editor-in-Chief of Acta Physiologica Sinica, Specialty Chief Editor in Renal Physiology and Pathophysiology of Frontiers in Physiology, Associate Editor of Journal of Diabetes and Editor-in-Chief of the textbook of Medical Physiology wildly used by Chinese medical students.
